NIPC/QAS serves as the evaluator of CORE, an innovative project.  This is a collaborative effort of Bristol Community College and Stanley Street Treatment and Resources. Core is located in the Commonwealth College Center at the BCC Fall River Campus. CORE assists students in addressing substance use issues, as well as providing education to students and faculty. CORE’s mission is to help Bristol Community College students meet their educational and life goals by decreasing the harmful use of alcohol, illegal drugs and other substances.

Forty-nine percent (3.8 million) of full time college students binge drink and/or abuse prescription and illegal drugs, according to "Wasting the Best and the Brightest: Substance Abuse at America´s Colleges and Universities", a new report by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University.

Join in as the BCC students celebrate their semester's end with a "BCC end of semester Party". CORE served non-alcoholic drinks and provided program information, emphasizing ways to have fun without alcohol.
