NPIC/QAS has also provided consultation and facilitation services in central eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union to four Partnership projects funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through a sub-grant with the American International Health Alliance (AIHA).
These projects required expertise in organizational assessment, process improvement and evaluation of a variety of clinical services. In 1999, NPIC/QAS also provided an external evaluation for all AIHA Partnership Programs in twenty countries across Central Europe and the Former Soviet Union.
