The Council of Women's and Infants' Specialty Hospitals (CWISH) is a unique subgroup of hospitals with large maternity services that provide additional staffing, financial and resource use information to NPIC/QAS so that they may share more detailed comparative information.

Membership in CWISH is by invitation only, must be in non-competing markets to current CWISH members and have a minimum of 5,000 deliveries per year. NPIC/QAS provides specialized data collection and analysis to the CWISH hospitals.
