EDUCATION ACTIVITIES

Continuing education activities serve a wide target audience of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals with the goal of advancing value, quality, safety and best practice in perinatal health as part of our organizational mission.

These activities are presented by national experts in the healthcare field belonging to a multitude of organizations including The Joint Commission, the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses and many others that focus on quality improvement in maternal-child health.

As we are committed to providing high quality continuing education, our clinical nurse consultant evaluates each activity to ensure the following:
  • Presence of evidence-based content
  • Balance in presentation
  • Absence of bias
  • Adherence to objective national standards
  • Enhancement of professional competency
