NPIC/QAS provides data collection, data, processing and analytic services to the federal government, state agencies, as well as private and public foundations. We have an expertise in the management and analysis of large perinatal data sets and the development of custom reports. Reports are used by many contractors to understand the volume, utilization, quality and patient safety of individual hospitals and multiple hospital systems in comparison to themselves or to the NPIC/QAS Perinatal Center Data Base.

NPIC/QAS also provides analyses of hospital data before and after quality improvement initiatives. Current contracts include the Department of Defense, Harvard Risk Management Strategies Foundation/ Team Performance Plus™, Maryland Patient Safety Center, Premier, Inc., and the Georgia Office of Birth Outcomes/Division of Family Health.
