NPIC/QAS, located in Providence, RI, is a non-profit organization which began in 1985 with a charter membership of major perinatal centers across the United States.
NPIC/QAS has expertise in the analysis of large data sets, development of comparative benchmarking quality and utilization reports, evaluation of direct service programs, and project consultation and management.

What information is available to members?NPIC/QAS members receive quarterly comparative financial, clinical and quality reports comparing their data to a peer sub-group and the Perinatal Center Data Base (PCDB). Comparative reports assist hospital management to improve the delivery of services and identify and isolate key areas for management’s focus. In addition, members can request custom analyses and have access to collaborative studies. How can I participate in the Perinatal Center Data Base (PCDB)?As a member of NPIC/QAS, your hospital’s financial and clinical discharge data will be included in the Perinatal Center Data Base (PCDB) and you will receive quarterly reports comparing your data to a peer sub-group and the Perinatal Center Data Base.
